Sweet Potato Wedges (Sihi Genasu)



Sweet potato or Sihi genasu is the nutritional food which helps for healthy weight gain. Healthy and Quick recipe for everyone. Kids will love the taste.


  • Sweet potato

  • Salt as per taste

  • Oil for fry - coconut oil recommended

  • 1 -2 tablespoons of water


  • Thoroughly wash sweet potatoes. Slice in half, then into wedges and keep it in water for few minutes

  • Now add turmeric and salt and mix well. Let the mixture for 5 minutes

  • Take a non stick pan and add 1 tablespoon of water

  • Let the water boil now add the sweet potato slices into the pan.

  • Let it cook for 5 mins in medium flame. Once the water drains out add some cocunut oil and lets shallow fry the slices on both the sides.

  • Once it become golder crisp serve it hot.
